Visitor Impact
The Abel Tasman National Park has in excess of one hundred thousand visitors every year. This is a big number for what is New Zealands smallest national park. It requires visitors to act responsibly to minimise the impact on the natural environment.

Take photos of the plants, trees, formations or shells on the beach instead of taking one for a memento. This small consideration can mean one hundred thousand of the Abel Tasmans special occupants remain in their natural habitat each year. New Zealands
Department of Conservation is at the fore front of conservation internationally. They have a huge job protecting our national parks and its vital that everybody helps out. Every little bit counts and we thank you for respecting the Abel Tasman.
