Marahau Sea Kayaking has a long history in kayak rental dating back to 1986. Freedom kayaking is
a very popular pastime along the Abel Tasman coastline. It is a fantastic way to explore the Abel
Tasman in your own time and at your own pace, however it carries with it an amount of
responsibility. We provide you with a safety session that covers kayaking techniques, the
equipment, the weather, and a map briefing highlight points of interest along the coastline.
With this information the onus is then on you to make sensible decisions if and when the
conditions change always putting you safety first. Freedom kayaking is recommended for people
with previous outdoors experience, although it is not essential. The important thing is that you
listen to our safety instructions and apply common sense at all times. Other than following these
basic safety rules, the time is yours to do what you will; walk barefoot along the beaches, swim,
explore the tracks, enjoy a wine under the stars. Its all there for you..........
